How Does Your Profession Fit With Your Communication Style

Psychic/Spiritual gifts and our personality.

How does your profession fit with your communication style?

How do people perceive how you communicate?

Are you more visual in your approach to life?

Perhaps you use more feeling and sensitivity?

Do you come across as more to the point or factual?

OR perhaps, you use a constantly changing creative mode of expression?

We don’t all communicate or perceive things the same way. And maybe that’s a good thing.

A lot of the time it isn’t really about having a generation gap or a difference between males and females. But rather, it seems to be more because of a communication gap.

From an effective business point of view it would be good to be able to discern the main communication qualities of the people we are working with. From a relationship point of view it would be even more rewarding to be able to relate to how your friends or partners perceive what they get from you and the world around them.

We are talking here about our inner communication system. We can call it our Feeling , Intuitive, Visionary and Prophetic  parts. These communication types help us to discern and process information and help to mold and express ourselves as evolving personalities in this world. Each person will live primarily by one of these personality types and partially by the other three.

The Feeling part of us turns a thought into a feeling impression. This part is good at working with the details, the sense of touch is important to them, and they know people by feeling what they feel. They may say things like “I’m not sure why, but it just doesn’t feel right”. They will probably be the first person to shake your hand or give you a hug.

The Intuitive will pick up a thought and hear it. Understanding is very important to them. These people want the facts and no messing around. They may be considered more intellectual. You might hear them say something like, ‘Hey, let’s just get to the point, and get on with it”. Hearing what you say and the tone of your voice can help them evaluate how to work with you.

The Visionary translates a thought into a picture.  Colours, symbols and visual detail are important to them. This part of us likes to see a plan and usually prefers to transact business in person so they can see who they are dealing with. They usually like to look good for themselves, and may say things like, “ I see what you mean”.

Then there is the Prophetic part which receives a thought as a knowing.  Some people may liken this part to our creative inspiration. The concept or overall idea is important rather than intellectual evaluation. A strong concern for the future is usually apparent and they may say things like,”You know what I mean” or “I knew that was going to happen”.

So let us have a look at some of our leaders in the world and how some of their communication styles come across.

Malcolm Turnbull – tends to be fairly Visionary in his approach. He likes to be organized and present well to the public. He is so busy looking good for everybody that he does’nt have time to effectively do what is in the best interest of the people he is leading. He has a problem turning his mantra’s into action. Somehow he needs to stop trying to be on a glory trip appeasing his silent backers (which seems to come across as ignorance and prejudice, especially when dealing with topics such as marriage equality and the positive development  for our aboriginal brothers and sisters). He needs to be brave and considerate enough to implement strategies that expands and involves the best interest of most Australians.

Donald Trump – Comes across as Intuitive in his approach. He says it like it is. Likes to be in business and work with the facts. He does’nt like to be wrong and can threaten others to control them. He needs to be careful he does’nt turn his presidency into a marketing exercise for his own companies. He also needs to watch his put downs of others e.g. “look at how much better I am than this guy”. He needs to have a ‘Big Picture’ of how to engage with the world and be fair with everyone. Create solutions rather than be part of the political pollution.

Vladimir Putin – seems to be quite Feeling. He seems to like to be active and engage with people. Though, when he loses his feeling of good will and starts to take things personally he may want to withdraw or retaliate. This can then lead to a feeling of isolation and therefore not deal appropriately with others. He needs to find ways that we can all work together in harmony without taking sides .

Xi Jinping – Has good prophetic skills. He has a strong concern for the future and therefore is interested in planning ahead. Though under the guise of investment and helping others may use that as a device to control or influence other countries and businesses affairs. He is a capable leader who needs to allow more freedom of expression and tolerance in his own country which will help him gain more trust from people in helping to create a more balanced environment in world affairs.

I remember a teacher from the USA who used to sit down and discern what the main personality type of each student was so she could better work with them. How much easier would it be if we could acknowledge the in’s and out’s of how those people that are in our circle of personal, business and social relationships work with their personality types. As each one has both balanced and out- of- balance characteristics. How much easier would be to help a person when they are feeling a little stress or anxiety when we know how their main personality type operates and how to help bring it back into harmony and balance. Surely everyone benefits.
